How many of you have lived through those life-changing years... the ones like the day the Civil Rights Act was signed by President Johnson or when Pearl Harbor was bombed, or the US becoming 50 states by adding Hawaii and Alaska, or the morning of 9/11? I have only lived through a few history-making years and what I take away from them is where we've come- what they taught me and how I'll never forget where I was when they happened.  2020 has brought a whole new kind of life-changing year- filled with joy and a bit of insecurity about where this will take us, ordered to say at home, and rethink how we spend our time or how we work has been quite the adjustment. I know for us it has been filled with quality time, rest as we've never known, and a whole lot of adventure but of course, it wasn't without its financial worries. Maui life shut down fairly quickly once COVID started spreading, with tourists gone and beaches empty I was really starting to miss capturing those precious intimate moments shared by loved ones. Thankfully Maui has the perfect backdrop to still capture lifestyle photographs. How adorable is this mama and her two beach babes?  I love capturing families in their element- these three take to Maui beaches at least every other day. These are the memorable moments I love to capture forever by a photograph- they are playful, authentic, and the perfect embodiment of the season of life for this precious family. Maui just opened its beaches after a few months of no leisure activity allowed, my heart is so full knowing that our community is reconnecting, families are venturing out again, and socializing has a whole new meaning.
